The task and the failure mode
Built for: Service businesses, writers, designers, developers, and subject-matter owners publishing or revising a high-intent service page.
A keyword-matched page can still be thin, duplicative, unsupported, locally misleading, or unable to turn the right visitor into a qualified next step.
Workflow
- 01Assign one buyer task, service owner, and canonical route.
- 02Interview the service owner for fit, exclusions, process, deliverables, proof, and location truth.
- 03Build the opening answer, decision sections, supporting evidence, internal links, and commercial next step.
- 04QA raw HTML, mobile usability, accessibility, schema, and every conversion state.
- 05Record the review owner and measure accepted inquiries separately from visits or button clicks.
Evidence to retain
- A unique title, H1, description, opening answer, and visible service task in raw HTML.
- Owner-approved process, deliverables, fit, exclusions, service area, and proof artifacts.
- Contextual inbound links, supporting resources, accepted-action tests, and a dated review record.
Example finding: urgent-service page lacks operating truth
- Observed
- The page targets emergency demand but does not state hours, dispatch area, exclusions, or the next action.
- Evidence
- Raw opening copy, mobile screenshot, call path, service-area record, and owner interview.
- Decision
- Add approved availability, fit, proof, and action details without promising response times.
- Validation
- Recheck raw HTML, mobile action visibility, internal links, and a test call outcome.
Boundaries and caveats
Avoid making one interchangeable page for every keyword, suburb, or minor service variation.
Traffic is not useful if the page attracts buyers the business cannot serve or claims proof it cannot substantiate.
